Biography

“I named myself José Lopez Macho Frasquelo dressing up as an altar boy with a cross of three meters; I used to perform furious stripteases on music from Lou Reed and Kraftwerk. It was then that Giovanni Lindo Ferretti called me to join CCCP.”
“I found a house in the country, it was an old farm house and the winter was as cold as a freezer; I was a singer, artist, and, instead of working, I used to paint my car once a week, an old R4.”
“I started going by scrap dealers around Carpi to pick up wheel rims, lights, doors, pieces of engine..then with wire, threaded rods and nuts I used to join the various pieces, creating assemblies.
I filled my apartment with pieces of work, so I had an exhibition.”
“I started writing by chance, first poems on my school diary, then on any different pieces of paper that I was finding.
The books of rock poems and avantgarde gave me the inspiration; poems from Lou Reed, Jimi Hendrix, Doors, Janis Joplin and beat generation books like Kerouac, Ginsberg, Bukowsky.

“Bands such The Rockets, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, DAF, Pink Floyd, Devo, Suicide, David Bowie, Kraftwerk were the fathers of cosmic punk. The punk was born as “no future” but I think it evolved becoming one of the most important movement of the years 2000.”
